There are two types of screen printed heat transfers. ‘

· Hot Peel or Hot Split.  With a hot peel transfer you peel off the transfer paper as soon as the transfer press lifts.  Hot peel transfers leave a small amount of ink behind on the transfer paper, the better the transfer is, the less ink it will leave.  If allowed to cool hot peel transfers can be very hard to remove.

· Cold Peel.  Cold peel transfers need to cool down for a few minutes before peeling. 

 

Most use hot peel heat transfers.

What do need?

1. Heat Transfer Press

2. Plastisol Heat Transfer

3. T-shirt or garment

 

Steps.

1. Allow your heat press to heat up, most plastisol screen printed transfers transfer at around 320-330 degrees for between.

2. Place your shirt centered on the heat press.

3. Place your transfer face down on your shirt in the desired spot, be sure to center if needed.

4. Heat transfer at a medium pressure for 8-11 seconds.

5. Lift press and peel.
